Northamptonshire Towns
Home to some of the most significant landmarks in the history of England and hosting quite a few world famous events today, each of the Northamptonshire towns has a typical unique characteristic of its own.

Though some of the towns might vary in size and even population from the rest, yet almost each one of them is known for one or the other attraction, activity or event.
Northamptonshire Towns – The Glory
From Kettering and Desborough to Daventry and
Corby, each of the towns in Northamptonshire has something noteworthy that catches the tourists' eyes.
While some of the towns are more known for the host of historical monuments, the others are popular for being the hub of commercial and tourist activity. For instance, the two most famous towns, Northampton and Kettering are famous for the buzzing commercial activity, including business, trade and other such activities.
On the other hand, places like Daventry are famous for the evidence of Roman buildings which are found on the site. In fact, the town of Daventry itself dates back to the Anglo Saxon times, way back in 920AD. Similarly, the Georgian town of Brackley is also famous for an early 18th century town hall built by the Duke of Bridgewear and a fantastic tree-lined market place.
Meanwhile, Corby, another famous town of Northamptonshire is situated at a highly favorable location, within an easy reach from popular attractions such as the Brigstock Country Park, Kirby Hall, King's Woods and the Deene Park House.

Talking about Towcester, this is one of the oldest towns in England and straddles the Roman road of Watling Street. The town is also famous for the
Towcester racecourse and Silverstone Motor Racing circuit on its outskirts. Kettering is another town with a famous historical landmark, apart form being a hub of commercial activity as well. Well-known for the magnificent 178ft spire on the Church of SS Peter and Paul, Kettering also houses the Manor House Museum and the Alfred East Art Gallery. Wicksteed Park, UK's first leisure park, which was built way back in 1921, continues getting Kettering a staggering number of tourists till date.
Northampton, the main county of Northamptonshire is also lined up with a series of historical monuments and buildings, besides playing host to a number of festivals and events every year.
Desborough, Oundle, Rothwell, Brixworth and Rushden are some of the other famous Northamptonshire towns, located around some of the most well-known attractions and places of interest.
