Northamptonshire Days Out

Whether you are planning to just take a break from the daily grind or just feel like exploring the place a bit more, Northamptonshire days out are a perfect way to rejoice, rewind and relax. Those with an inclination towards history and its musings can head for the various historic attractions such as Althorp House, Rockingham Castle and Boughton House. Other historical places of interest worth a visit include Lamport Hall and the Northampton Museum and Art Gallery.

For some real thrill in your days out in Northamptonshire, step into Wicksteed Park at Kettering, the family amusement park with over forty rides and exciting attractions. In addition, there are specialty shops set all around the place to offer a galore of goodies to choose from, ranging from innovative craft items and designer clothing to ornaments and eatables.

For sports lovers, Northamptonshire offers at least a whopping 40 golf courses and some 50 fishing venues as well. In addition, you can also visit Silverstone, near Towcester, which is home to some of the finest world-class motor sports at the Grand Prix venue.



For some further sightseeing, you can even go up to Stoke Bruene on the Grand Union Canal, one of the prettiest villages of Northamptonshire, along with the Canal Museum, housed in a restored corn mill.

To get a feel for Mother Nature, you can simply choose to spend some quiet and leisurely evenings at one of the many beautiful country parks and gardens. Some of the options you can consider are the Barnwell Country Park at Oundle,
Coton Manor Garden at Coton and Sywell Country Park at Northampton.
