A shoppers' paradise and a globe-trotters' delight, the main Northamptonshire shopping venues offer a rich selection of shops, stores and retail outlets, in an overall, soothing ambience of country shopping. Ranging from exotic souvenirs and branded outfits to exclusive kitchenware and the finest traditional items, these outlets have something to suit all tastes and pockets.

Northamptonshire Shopping – The Wide Array!

Shopping destinations of various categories can be found almost all across the different towns of the county. However, at the top of the list is Northamptonshire's county town, Northampton. An impressive combination of the desirable High Street brands and some of the most unusual vendors is sure to leave you wanting for more.

Northampton boasts of two of the most famous destinations for shopping at Northamptonshire. The Grosvenor Centre and Peacock Place as they are known make for some of the most memorable shopping experiences for the tourists as well as the local residents alike. In fact, The Grosvenor Centre, at the Union Street happens to be the country's largest and most popular shopping centre, housing over 60 shops, along with a host of cafes and restaurants. On the other hand, its popular neighbor, the Peacock Place is also quite a busy place, with a two level complex, housing many High Street shops, along with several smaller and individual retailers.

Another major stopover in the sojourn of shopping at Northamptonshire is usually made at the famous and very old open-air market at the Market Square, Northampton. Ranging from fresh local produce to electric goods and fashion ensembles, you can find items of a staggering variety at this historic market.

Other Landmarks

Moving on to another major landmark at Kettering, the Newlands Shopping Centre is conveniently located amongst various pedestrians' shopping streets. An eclectic mix of large department stores, small trade stores, specialty shops and refreshment centers can be spotted at this centre.

In addition, the county's market towns including Daventry and Wellingborough also have a number of shopping outlets.

Located at the heart of the region, the Swansgate Shopping Centre at Wellingborough is especially popular with its extensive shopping facilities, children's play area and many High Street branded shops. The Weston Favell Centre, another famous one at Wellingborough also attracts quite a few shoppers. Here you can find Tesco Extra along with more salubrious choices, and various other specialty shops - ideal for shopping for gifts.

The shopping experience at Northamptonshire will surely be incomplete without a visit to the famous Northamptonshire Shopping Village, the Heart of Shires. Set around a Victorian Courtyard, it makes your shopping experience indeed special, besides offering you some of the best deals around.

If you just happen to be a bit more enthusiastic about your shopping spree, you can simply drive a few miles to enjoy the extensive shopping facilities of the likes of Milton Keynes, London and Birmingham, to make your Northamptonshire shopping experience truly memorable.
